After graduating as a dentist from Adelaide University, Emily enjoyed an inspiring first year, working as a general dentist in Hervey Bay for Queensland Health.
She then moved to London for several years, working as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Guys, Kings and St Thomas’ Hospital. Emily completed the UK equivalent of the Royal Australia College of Dental Surgeons primary examinations during her time at Guy’s (MFDS), which meant ‘I saw more of the inside of a textbook than of Europe’ but helped her to gain a place in the highly regarded postgraduate orthodontic program at Melbourne University.
Emily completed the three year postgraduate doctorate program in Orthodontics at the University of Melbourne in 2008. Emily finds being an Orthodontist very rewarding.
Dr Chris Costello has always had an interest in health sciences and became fascinated with Orthodontics after receiving treatment himself, experiencing firsthand the joy of receiving a new smile, which he now strives to deliver to his patients. After completing the primary examinations with the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons, Chris undertook a further three years of orthodontic specialist training at the University of Queensland. Chris maintains practice using the most up to date techniques and has conducted research during his dental and specialist training in the fields of sleep apnoea and Invisalign treatment, which was published in the Australasian Orthodontic Journal.
Outside of work, Chris enjoys socialising with friends, keeping fit and enjoying golf courses of Sydney.
Hi my name is Amy and I graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Oral Health in 2009.
I have worked in Orthodontics for over 18 years. I started as a dental assistant at the tender age of 18. A few years later I decided to step things up and go on to study full-time to become a hygienist. I love how changing someone’s smile can change their confidence. It is so rewarding to watch.
When I am not at work, I am busy with my family. I have a young daughter who keeps me busy and a dog, Louie, who is very enthusiastic and keeps me busy too!
Hi I’m Vivek, I completed my studies as an oral health therapist and hygienist graduating from the University of Sydney in 2015. I joined the team at MyOrtho in 2017 and have loved helping to create healthy, beautiful and well functioning smiles ever since.
Outside of work I enjoy staying active and travelling when I get the chance.
Hello, my name is Jessica. I am the practice manager and receptionist here at MyOrtho, I am originally from England where I worked as a receptionist in the NHS and I moved to Sydney in 2016. This is my first role within orthodontics and I have thoroughly enjoyed learning all about the processes. It is exciting to see someone’s smile at the end of their treatment. Outside of work I enjoy reading and exploring new places in Australia!
